Max-Oscar-Arnold-Award
for Contemporary Doll Art

In the course of the annual Doll Festival, the town of Neustadt bei Coburg presents its "Max-Oscar-Arnold-Award" for Contemporary Doll Art.

On the basis of this event, the town of Neustadt established their collection of contemporary doll art by systematically buying pieces from among the submitted works each year.

With this competition and mindful of their tradition as the Bavarian Doll Town, the town of Neustadt is seeking to continue and consistently promote contemporary doll art.

The art award is regarded as one of the most important international accolades of its kind, and is even referred to as the "Oscar for the doll makers".

It is considered to be the only non-commercial art award in the world.
